SCIENCE LAB
There are a few easy science experiments you and your Little Brother/Sister can try out using simple materials that will likely be on-site at their school. Check with the school ahead of time about gathering materials, and make sure an adult will be in the room before engaging in any science experiments.
HOMEMADE LAVA LAMP
Learn about density while you each create your own homemade lava lamp! Your Little Brother/Sister will need a glass or a bottle, plus water, oil, food colouring, and antacid tablets. Different kinds of oil will produce different results, so if you and your Little Brother/Sister try different oils you can compare your lava lamps over Zoom. If you have access to more than one type, you could also both try mixing them.
MAGIC MILK EXPERIMENT
Grab some milk, dish soap, food colouring, and some cotton swabs together and test out this colourful milk experiment!
Your Little Brother/Sister will also need access to a small container and a plate or dish. After you add the food colouring to the milk, use the dish soap to cause a chemical reaction and get your colours moving!
