Connect Online: Spark Science is a six-week Virtual Group focused on all things science! Each week, volunteer Bigs lead a group of 4-6 Littles in a new science experiment on a different topic. A series of relevant videos, discussions, and online games correspond with each different experiment.
Below are some of the resources that have been used in Spark Science in the past.
SPARK SCIENCE GAMES
Frankenstein’s Lab is an online game all about physiology. Share your screen and have the Littles contribute to creating a creature in the lab! Mix and match the various animal parts, keeping in mind how well the different parts will work together. Once your creature is complete, check the “Matching Mishaps” tab to get your creature’s Survival Score.
Create your own themed Jeopardy! game based on your group’s topic! Set your game up ahead of time by creating the questions and answers in the template. When it’s time to play, simply share your screen over Zoom, split your Littles into teams, and begin to play!
