Week 4 of Connect: Paint It!

Week 4 of Connect: Paint It was another really fun one, as we made mini volcanos, and then did some tape canvas painting.

For the mini volcanos, each child received a small cup, which they poured in half full with baking soda, food colouring, and glitter! After preparing their volcanos, they got to pour vinegar on top, creating a colourful, fizzy explosion. The kids really enjoyed this one, as it provided a bit more engagement & excitement among the group.

Next, for the tape canvas painting, everyone received a canvas, masking tape, and access to paint. The kids were encouraged to create a puzzle-type design on their canvas, but were also encouraged to paint whatever they felt inspired by. This was a great calming activity after the excitement of the volcanos. 

This group has been flying by! We cannot believe that next week is the final session. Stay tuned for next week’s update, where we will be making marbled shaving cream cards and painting statues!
