In-School Mentoring

1 hour/Week

In-school mentoring allows for Bigs and Littles to connect over personal experiences and interests while taking part in activities at the Little’s school. Activities can include baking cookies, playing board games, or having fun on the playground.

These Bigs act as a positive role model for a Little in one of the participating elementary schools across Northern BC, and gain valuable volunteer experience while also connecting directly with professionals in a school setting.

Youth in grades 2-7 are eligible for this program, and students in participating high schools also have the opportunity to volunteer as a Big Brother or Big Sister at a feeder elementary school.

Commit to the volunteer experience for the duration of the school year and then take the summer off!

Minimum volunteer commitment: 1 school year
