child Care frequently asked questions
+ How do I get a spot in your Child Care program?
A registration package has to be fully completed to ensure you have a spot. If you are pre-registering for one of our programs, an office staff will accept the application and have a Child Care Coordinator or the Program Manager review it. Upon review, if there are any questions or concerns regarding the registration package then a Childcare Coordinator will phone you to clarify their questions or schedule a meeting with you.
+ How long after I submit my paperwork until my child can start?
As long as the paperwork is complete and the Child Care Coordinator does not have any concerns that need to be addressed, your child can start the day they are registered. Registration papers must be onsite prior to your child’s engagement in the program.
+ What makes your program different from others?
Big Brothers Big Sisters offers flexible Child Care options to meet the needs of the community. If it is a full time space, part time space, or just a day here or there that you are looking for, we are able to accommodate you.
All of our Child Care spaces offer snacks and skill development. Our School Aged Care and Preschool provides a snack that consists of two food groups and a weekly field trip that is designed to expose the children in our programs to new skills and experiences in our community.
Our all day camps serve a morning and afternoon snack and multiple field trips a week that match our themes. Every camp week is created around a theme picked by our Child Care Coordinators. Themed snacks, crafts and field trips make sure your child has a great time!
